Announcement

Ambuja Neotia is delighted to announce the 8th edition of the Annual Charles Correa Memorial Lecture, 2025. Since its inception, this annual event has been a tribute to the architectural ethos of the master architect Charles Correa — his human-centric approach, deep cultural sensitivity, and commitment to sustainable urbanism. Correa was not only a pioneering architect of independent India but also of the entire world. Through his life’s work and teachings, he has inspired thousands of minds and left behind a legacy for the global fraternity of architects.
Over the years, the Memorial Lecture has hosted distinguished architects from across the world, each sharing Correa’s values of design rooted in people, place, and purpose. Their works, though diverse in geography and style, resonate with a shared commitment to environmental consciousness, social engagement, and the synthesis of tradition with modernity.
This year, we are honoured to welcome Peter Stutchbury from Australia. A leading voice in sustainable architecture, Stutchbury is known for his deeply contextual and climate-responsive designs that draw from indigenous wisdom, material innovation, and a profound respect for nature. His projects — ranging from poetic residential spaces to experimental public structures — have redefined contemporary Australian architecture while inspiring global discourse on sustainability and place-making.
Stutchbury’s contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including the AIA Gold Medal, recognising his pioneering vision and lifelong dedication to architecture that breathes, evolves, and belongs. His philosophy aligns closely with Correa’s enduring legacy — one that champions architecture as a cultural, environmental, and emotional experience.

“We acknowledge Traditional Custodians of Country, on this land called Australia.
Their connectivity and relationship with Grandfather Sun, Grandmother Moon, Father Sky and Mother Earth.
We respect the Elders and their culture.”
